The fine organ in this church was built circa 1902 by W. G . Rendall using a number of second hand parts. The instrument was built behind a unique case of distinctive beauty. Its five sections are laid out on a curved plan under arches at the front of the building.
The instrument originally had tubular-pneumatic action and a detached drawstop console located under the large central pulpit. In 1974-75 the action was converted to electro-pneumatic by Anthony Welby and a new console installed. A number of tonal changes and additions came into effect - a Mixture III and Quinte 1-1/3 were added to the Swell in place of the old Lieblich Gedackt 16 and Vox Humana 8 and on the Pedal a Choral Bass 4 and Mixture II were installed.
